Ornament Finished

I found this really hard, messy and frustrating.  I'm going to have to look at other finishes, it almost drove me to tears but here it is.........I'm not really happy with it but it's ok.  Hubby liked it and says it has to go on the tree at Christmas., so that cheered me up.

  1. Very nice. I felt like you when I started finishing myself. As I go along, I feel like I am making progress on finishing. Keep at and you will like what you finish.

  2. I think it looks pretty good! Remember it is only your first attempt so you will get better with practice. Looking forward to seeing the next one ;)

  3. I agree with Faith - it really is pretty. Don't despair. You'll find other ways of finishing and in the end, maybe you'll be able to re-finish!

  4. It's amazing how difficult the whole process of finishing can be. We have enormous patience, and generally excellent success, putting the stitches on the fabric, but then finishing kicks our butts. :) I think you did a good job. It's bound to get easier, as all things do with practice.

    1. Patricia that's so true. I did some finishing a few years ago but haven't done it for some time, have been looking at little cushion finishes and they look more my thing. As you say with more practice hopefully I will have some better successes. Thank you so much 😊

  6. It looks fine! The finishing part can be a booger but it gets easier the more you do it, keep at it and you will be pleased how much you learn.
